friday inspiration - Lotta Agaton

Sometimes I wished that I lived in Sweden and could admire it in person...

the amazing exhibition about Note Design Studio curated by
stylist Lotta Agaton for residence magazine at the
Swedish Centre for Architecture and Design could inspire me all day...

                                                                                                                                                      photos: Kristoffer Johnson

lamplove - Pion by Hay

 styling/photos/text by elvs

On the table, on or in a Cabinet or on the floor... some lamps radiate anywhere!

I always had an eye on unique and separate lamps and they have always inspired me
in my unstoppable sense of changing and restyling our living room.
So when dutch online store fonQ.nl asked me if a would be interesting in
making a review about the Hay Pion lamp it was a great opportunity!

This new purchase from this always inspiring Danish design brand,
invited me to go look around for some of my favourite monochrome treasures
collected over the years and to exhibit them on my bench.
Some beautiful magnolia branches completed this new bright natural look at this corner!
So yes.. once again I discovered that adding only a few other details
really made the difference! It gave me the feel of creating Spring inside!

The Wrong for Hay (a collaboration between Danish design brand HAY and
London-based designer Sebastian Wrong) Pion lamp is designed
by Bertjan Pot. Bertjan graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven.
His work is about curiosity for materials and experiments and
 that's what atracted  me immediately.
The Pion is made of aluminum, and... paper! How special is that!

Through the paper use the lamp diffuse the light in the room and creates a cozy atmoshpere.
Because its attractrive design the Pion lamp really fits in any interior don't you think so?
I my opinion the remarkable and uncommon form makes the Pion lamp
by Hay a beautiful eyecatcher for every room.

this post is made in collaboration with FonQ.nl  a dutch contemporary online store with more than 40.000 products.
Colorful and special products that make life just a little more fun with unique gift and design products and a wide range
in terms of living, cooking and garden can be found here

harmony - Iittala x Issey Miyake

"Iittala X Issey Miyake collection brings your home a new kind of harmony
by combining Scandinavian and Asian craftmanship and ambiance."

Already saw a sneakpeek last week on the blog of Lotta Agaton
where I immediately fell for the color scheme, the contrast
and the beautiful shapes of the ceramics, glass and home textiles,

but this week the amazing new Iittala collection,
designed by Issey Miyake, finally will be launched in Stockholm,
can't wait to admire!

bathroom love - norm architects

Concrete, dark porcelain tiles and customised bronzed fixtures
a beautiful contrast with the bright walls on the other side of this amazing space

Norm architects have created this en-suite bathroom  in an old townhouse in Copenhagen.

ONE ---> TWO

January was awesome and filled with cosiness and creativity inside

events and I did a little admiration tour at my favorite shops in Amsterdam)
Hope your "ONE" was great too ;-)

in my bedroom - crisp sheets

Today some new snapshots...
I told you before that I really like a bright minimal atmosphere in my bedroom
so the changes in this room are always in the details

In some previous posts (here and here) you can read about my love for
the perfect crisp, cotton sheets designed by Lara Jans, founder of Crisp Sheets.
Last week I was pleasantly surprised again by some new beautiful accessories,
when Lara invited me to discover the new collection of Crisp Sheets on her site.

My attention was immediately caught by the  ‘Stardust Wool Throw’
a (reversible) blanket that fits perfectly at the end of our double bed to keep us warm and
comfy during the chilly nights as we have them lately but I was also attracted
by the stunning linen flat sheet and pillowcases a nice addition to the earlier collection
not only because Linen is a beautiful natural material but also
it cools in summer and warms up when it‘s cold.

once again I discovered that simply changing some details
(or even recycling the legs of a site table into a nightstand) really makes the difference!
beautiful and simple...what do you think?

ps. you can find all about - and be inspired by the stunning stylish photos
of the new collection by Crisp Sheets here
